Quantum City is a multi-partner collaboration aimed at building awareness, interest, and enthusiasm for quantum technologies, their real‑world applications and increasing role in society. Quantum technologies have capabilities unmatched or even unattainable by their classic equivalents. For this reason, they have the potential to lead to genuinely transformative innovation, impacting all aspects of everyday life – from healthcare to the environment and from finance to critical infrastructure, transport, communications and security – while also offering rewarding career pathways.

Visitors to the stand will experience interactive demonstrations of the guiding principles and key building blocks underpinning these devices. Exhibits will showcase: the quantum sensing properties of diamonds revolutionising accurate diagnosis and personalised treatment plans in healthcare; quantum properties of light particles (photons) used for future-proof, secure communications; quantum imaging devices offering superior navigation and detection capabilities; the incredible computational power of incoming quantum computers; and how quantum sensors use changes in gravity to detect unseen structures underground.
